Do I have to be totally disabled to make a TPD claim?
No. You don’t have to be bed-ridden or in a wheelchair to be eligible for a TPD claim. One common TPD claim definition relates to you being able to perform your normal work duties based on your education, training, and experience, there are also other definitions that could apply in your policy to determine your eligibility for a TPD compensation claim. For instance, another definition that may apply to a claim could be Activities of Daily Living (ADL). These ADLs include bathing, grooming, dressing, eating and feeding, bowel and bladder function, mobility.
